Old Bike Australasia

Red Flag

I will remember PETER DAVID CLARK as the “B M Whisperer”. Peter was a true gentleman and a very skillful motorcycle mechanic. He always had time to explain your bike repairs in an easy to understand way, and he conveyed such an easy-going demeanor. Formerly a successful 2-stroke fettler/amateur racer, Peter’s circumstances turned him to BMW motorcycles with Don Wilson at Tom Bryne Motorcycles in Sydney, in the early ‘70s. After Don’s departure, Peter took on the role of Workshop Manager for several years, before being recruited to another BMW dealership at Southbank, Melbourne. After this period, he came back to Sydney where he re-joined Don Wilson at Don’s Punchbowl Road BMW motorcycle mechanical business. This business changed hands to become Motorhansa and shortly after Peter was approached to join the new Procycles BMW Dealership at St. Peters. He attained the title of BMW “Master Technician Australia” a number of times, rising above his peers not for competition’s sake, but to strive to achieve the very best result. Peter will remain a joy to remember to all those that were fortunate enough to enjoy his company, till we ride together again. He leaves behind his very close-knit family of wife Nola and two sons, Kevin and John, as well as siblings, in-laws and relatives mainly in South-West W.A. Plus an innumerable number of fellow motorcyclists and other mates in a spectrum of lifestyles.
