CEMCC Show Day

Old Bike Australasia - - RALLY ROUNDUP - Report and photos Jim Scaysbrook

27 September – Engadine, NSW

Held at Cooper Street Reserve in Engadine, south of Sydney, each year since 1999, the Classic Enthusiasts annual Show Day is always a keenly anticipated event. Six categories of entries, from veterans to modern, plus a Competition section, ensures a selection of bikes to suit every taste. This year entries were down slightly, possibly due to the recent dodgy Sydney weather, but the day itself was held in perfect sunshine. Judging is via the votes from the entrants themselves; each entrant receives a voting slip as well as a food ticket. Showing there is life in the older brigade, the display included some stunning recent restoration in the Veteran and Vintage section, and the Competition bikes were as colourful and varied as ever.
