Winged wonder

-

GEOFF NEWTON writes: I write in the hope that someone out there may recognise this sidecar, with its unusual wings on the fairing and a 16 inch front wheel and 10 inch rear and passenger wheels. I am led to believe it was built by the late Alex Campbell. I brought the frame which has been modified to take a Z1 Kawasaki engine from Dave McLachlan (aka Bones) in approx 1984. He has told me that the race officials made him remove the wing before he was allowed to race it at Bathurst. Other people that may have been associated with this sidecar are John McKay and passenger Dennis O’Dea racing number 77 possibly with a TZ 700 or 750 engine. My brother and I are in the process of restoring it for historic racing. I can be contacted on 0487392246.
