Sidecar slip

At the Barry Sheene Festival of Speed in April, the official results showed Mark Hollingshed/A. Hewess as winners of the Period 4 Sidecar event. However this is incorrect, as Geoff Grant points out. “Unfortunately the organisers did not correct their mistake which was highlighted at the presentation and that Mark actually came second and I was the winner on my Kawasaki powered Urquhart…when the results are wrong then the opportunity to expose those who assist us in our sport is lost and in my case I have one person who helps me out a bit (Bill Cummins from Wallaby Engineering). I would also like to thank Melissa Foot and David Hagney (who filled in for the last race) for doing an excellent job on the side for the weekend.”
