An Australian TT?

A Sydney-based company, Inside Line Events International, has announced an ambitious plan to stage the Sunshine Coast International TT – an Isle of Man style race over a 47km course linking the Queensland towns of Maleny, Bald Knob, Crohamhurst, Beerwah, Peachester and Wootha. The TT is the brainchild of author and former advertising agency owner David Rollins, who spent his early years working as a journalist for the long-gone Revs Motorcycle News magazine. An on-line video produced to gauge interest has attracted more than 500,000 views, and a series of public meetings will be held where Rollins and local councillors will provide details of the event to residents. It’s an exciting concept which has so far received cautious support from residents, businesses and local government, and a date of December 2017 is proposed for the staging of the race. Rollins hopes the event will attract TT specialists from UK, Ireland, New Zealand as well as Australia. Watch this space!
