On the wall
I was at a motor cycle presentation around 1975 and was sitting with my racing mate Kevin Fraser and during the night after a number of beers I listened to a sad story from Kevin’s wife with a serious threat that if he did not get rid of his “road racing (Yamaha) TA 125” she was going to divorce
him. It appears that I had pulled out my cheque book to save the marriage, and I wrote Kevin a cheque for the Yamaha TA 125. I was not aware I had done this kind act until the TA 125 was offloaded at my home a week later in Hay.
I had it fully restored and have it on a special stainless frame hanging on my kitchen brick wall. Blokes love it and woman hate it, it really has attracted great interest over the years. The only time I ever rode it was when the Hay police talked me into taking it down and to see how fast it really went with their radar.
