2017 Oz Historics at Wakefield Park
2017 looks like being a very big year for motorcycle racing at Goulburn’s Wakefield Park, with the announcement that the Australian Historic Road Racing Championships will be staged there on November 10-12, with an open practice day on Thursday 9th. The event will be a co-promotion between Wakefield Park and the PCRA of NSW.
Following the success of the recent 40th Anniversary of the first Amaroo Historics meeting (reported in this issue), Operations Manager Matt Baragwanath has announced that a similar format event, tentatively titled the Amaroo All Historic meeting, will take place on the weekend of September 23-24, 2017. Again, it will be strictly for Period 1, 2 and 3 bikes and pre 1961 cars. The country NSW circuit will also host a round of the 2017 Australian Superbike Championship.
