AMCA antique motorcycle weekend at Bulli Showgrounds

-

Well known Historic racer and proprietor of Redfern Motor Parts in Corrimal, NSW, Tony Blain, advises of the formation of an Australian chapter of the Antique Motor Cycle Club of America and the announcement of a signature event, the AMCA Australia National, August 25-27,2017. “The AMCA (Antique Motorcycle Club of America), has been operational since the early 1950s, and has over 70 Branches or Chapters around the world, predominantly in USA. I have been a Member for as long as I can remember. I was approached by the AMCA President to consider setting up an Australian Branch, when we met in Vegas early this year. Aussie has enough Clubs, I reckoned, however when I considered their mantra – all motorcycles, all models and all makes, 35 years and older, I realised a national event like that does not exist here, and it should. I accepted the challenge and along with our Board of hand picked colleagues, we have set about the task,” says Tony. “Bulli Showgrounds is the chosen venue and has space over the years for growth, as we intend to have this event, on the same dates, and same venue going forward. Over 10,000 AMCA members enjoy being a part of the AMCA, and in addition to us providing hopefully, a yearly “must do” Australian event, I feel this is good for the sport of Antique, Vintage and Classic Motorcycles, and the opportunity to have all enthusiasts of different makes and models 35 years and older, embrace like minded individuals. So far the response has been most positive as we commence advising enthusiasts around Australia and the world.” For more information contact Tony Blain on 0419 229605.
