A time warp
I’m a reader of Old Bike and enjoy the articles and the magazine in general. I’ve had many classic bikes and recently restored a matching numbers Series B Black Shadow, but I’ve just acquired a bike that I think is exceptional for its age and originality. It’s a one-owner 74 Laverda 1000C with only 9,500 miles on the clock! The paint is original and I doubt it’s ever had any parts replaced. When I bought it, the bike hadn’t been started in 5 years and was last registered in 1989. I took about a week of polishing and tweaking to bring it up to scratch. For its age it is in exceptional condition. I do think it would warrant a mention in Old Bike Australasia or even an article to show that there are still amazing bikes out there.
