It’s Crump versus Crump next Easter

-

Three-times World Speedway Champion Jason Crump was a big hit at the 2017 Shannons Insurance Broadford Bonanza, and told everyone that he thought it to be a wonderful event. For 2018, Jason will be joined by another Crump – his equally famous father Phil, who finished third in the 1976 World Championships and was a leading British League and Test rider for Australia for many years. The speedway side of the 2018 SIBBB will also see a celebration of the revolutionary Street 4-valve engine, on which Phil Crump scored a sensational debut win in the 1975 Australian Championship. Although not the first 4-valve engine of the modern era, the Street engine, developed by Neil Street and Ivan Tighe, dominated the world scene for two years before the 4-valve Jawa took over.
