Second time around

A flat tyre during a road trip around Australian in 2012 gave Micha Jostl, the owner of Upcycled Australia, an idea – how to make use of all those old motorcycle tyres and inner tubes. The result is a unique range of handmade accessories – from bags to bracelets – that do the earth a favour by saving usable materials from becoming landfill. The Tread belt is a heavy duty item made from the centre section of a motorcycle radial tyre which is immensely strong and quite funky looking. The buckle comes in either brass or silver colour, with lengths of 110, 120 or 130cm. RRP $45.00 plus postage. The Fertile wallet was formerly an inner tube, so it is water-resistant, has a zippered change pocket and a note section, plus six card slots. RRP $39.00 plus postage.
