Who, what, when, where?

Historian and regular OBA contributor PETER WHITAKER, who for some years has been working on a book about motorcycles and motorcyclists in involved in exploration and other feats of endurance around Australia, is curious about the details of this photo, believed taken in the mid ‘seventies.
