“Jig-A-Jig Racing”

-

In response to Ray Goulter’s correspondence (OBA 70) regarding the recording of the Entrant’s License of “Jig-A-Jig Racing”, I would like to bring to the attention of Old Bike readers, that the word Jig is a form of lively folk dancing. Developed in sixteenth century England, it became popular in France, Spain and Italy where “Jig-A-Jig Studio” hailed from. When proprietor Maria’s son, Stronzo Pullyazie began his successful road racing career, sponsorship was supplied by his mother’s fledgling dance studio business. The revoking of the entrant’s license forced the premature ending and the very promising career of the talented Stronzo Pullyazie

and financial hardship and eventual retirement of fellow team riders, Greg O’Grady and Dave Evans. Such is Life! Greg O’Grady Miami, Qld. Thanks Greg. You are this issues’ Raritee T-shirt winner – Ed
