The 55th International BSA Rally is shaping up to be a real cracker with many overseas and local entries already received, reports Doug Fraser. The promise of many great rides, wonderful scenery, and, of course, outstanding company, will all be part of a very memorable week. It’s been 17 years since the last and only International Rally was held in Australia and who knows when the next will be? So come along or you may miss out! The rally starts on Friday 9th November at Halls Gap in the Grampians in Western Victoria and runs for a week. For us, 2018 represents the seventieth anniversary of the Bantam and the fiftieth anniversary of the world’s first modern super-bike: the Triple. And so, to feature this, we are hoping to have the largest display of Rob North Rocket Threes in the Southern Hemisphere. Also negotiations are underway to obtain, for display, the 1975 Isle of Man 500cc production class winning Mead and Tomkinson B50, as ridden by Phil Gurner and bought here to Australia in 1977 by Jeff and Lorraine Gooch. These bikes, plus many others, should be enough to make any BSA enthusiast excited! For more information go to: bsa.asn.au/html/ events/inter/index.html
