VJMC Rally heads north

Af­ter two suc­cess­ful years based in Tam­worth, NSW, the an­nual Vin­tage Japanese Na­tional Rally moves to Queens­land for 2019 and 2020. The rally will be based at Gold Coast Hol­i­day Park 66 – 68 Si­ganto Drive He­lensvale, just off the M1 Free­way, from Fri­day 17th to Sunday 19th May 2019. VJMC Pres­i­dent John McNair says, “This event prom­ises to be a high­light of the year for those with a pas­sion for early Japanese Mo­tor­cy­cles. The rally will fea­ture mo­tor­cy­cles from the 1950s through to the 1990s in­clud­ing mod­els for race, road and trail. Past ral­lies have at­tracted over 300 re­stored and un­re­stored ma­chines from 50cc to 1500cc. Those wish­ing to book ac­com­mo­da­tion please make sure you ad­vise them it’s for the VJMC Rally, in or­der to ob­tain dis­counts. The ac­com­mo­da­tion is plen­ti­ful and var­ied. While the Gold Coast Tourist Park is on the north­ern side of the Free­way, an un­der­pass will pro­vide safe and quick ac­cess to the Show & Shine in front of the Out­back Spec­tac­u­lar Com­plex on the Sat­ur­day from noon and the Pre­sen­ta­tion Din­ner that night at Movieworld. “On the Sat­ur­day and Sunday morn­ings there will be or­gan­ised rides through the Gold Coast hinterland for those en­tered in the Rally. These rides will de­part from the Out­back Spec­tac­u­lar carpark. A wel­come bar­beque will be held on the Fri­day night. We look for­ward to see­ing ev­ery­one on the Gold Coast in 2019.”

Af­ter suc­cess­ful years in Canberra and Tam­worth, the VJMC Rally moves north for 2019.
