Braided boost

Braided brake lines are an essential safety factor and for the older bikes can mean a big boost in braking performance. The Venhill Powerhose Plus system uses factory-finished lines which are identical at both ends, with 1/8th BSP swivel socket nuts to attach to the standard fittings on your bike. The lines are manufactured from smooth-bore Teflon tubing with a stainless steel overbraid which in turn is covered by a PVC coating. The socket nuts fitted at the ends are also in stainless steel so the complete line is corrosion-free. Australian distributors Kenma have kits to suit a wide variety of Japanese, European and US motorcycles, including classics such as the Honda CB750 kit shown here. This one is for the low handlebars but there is also a version for the US-style higher bars. It’s an affordable mod (the two lines are $46.00 + GST each) and does not look out of place on a classic bike.
