Eric Hoskins
ERIC ‘OCCA’ HOSKINS passed away on 11th October, aged 81. A keen competitor on both dirt tracks and road racing, Eric raced a BSA at tracks like Heddon Greta, Salty Creek and Muswellbrook, and later became synonymous with Bultacos for road racing. His Bultaco Metralla (and that of his mate Wayne Cummins) was featured in OBA issue 25. Eric’s funeral was held on 16th October at Wallsend (Newcastle) and was packed out – a measure of the esteem in which he was held.
