Old Bike Australasia

In the hills

-

Robin Lewis has been out and about in the Adelaide Hills and sends these shots of a couple of interesting locals: “Roy is a young local resident who made do with what he had to create this neat little 175 Honda Café Racer from a crashed bike. Roy had a spare 200 Honda fuel tank which was painted in a familiar scheme, extending to the hand-formed fibreglass tail piece. The guards and foot controls are fabricated, and the upswept exhaust is from a CL175. The Aberdale is a quaint little machine made in 1949 and powered by a 98cc Villiers engine. It is frequently ridden around the Adelaide Hills villages.”
