Our feature on the incredible rescue/ restoration of the Honda C71Z in OBA 76 unfortunately suffered a technical glitch prior to printing which saw a few lines of text disappear. The corrected story is now on our web site, so if you’d like to read the complete version, go to www.oldbikemag.com.au/ honda-c71z-rarer-rare/ Coming up soon we will have a feature on another ultra rare Honda that has been masterfully restored by the Marnix Deibert/ Sebas van de Broek team for Mike Buttinger at CMS. This is a RC70F (above), imported to USA in 1958 and raced by the famous Preston Petty, who went on to fame as the producer of plastic mudguards, fuel tanks and side covers as the dirt bike scene exploded.
