Old Bike Australasia

Up, up and away

-

I enjoyed reading the article in OBA 76 on the Mount Tarrengower Hill Climb in Victoria. Hill Climbs were great Clubmen events for men and women. One didn’t need a specialist events bike to compete and could have a good day’s riding against your own times. I have enclosed a photo (right) of my husband Alan at Silverdale tar hill climb west of Sydney riding his 1970 Suzuki Savage. He also rode the Amaroo Park tar hill climb during the 1980s with Central Motor Cycle Club. Sadly both hill climb venues have gone, as has central MCC, although we do have treasured memories and photos.
