WA’s National titles forging ahead

Still nine months away, planning for the 2019 Australian Historic Road Racing Championships is in full swing, reports Bob Humphries, president of the promoting club, the Historic Competition Motorcycle Club of WA. “The latest on the circuit extension and updates is that a project manager has been appointed by the Collie Council to oversee the completion of MA’s safety requirements, pit upgrades and viewing areas. The existing circuit is being resurfaced in February, ready for our Club series starting on March 23/24. The Collie Council has also appointed an event coordinator to organize a motorcycle festival in the week leading up to the Nationals and to assist us with organisation. “Our National committee is currently formulating sponsorship packages including naming rights to the event. We will be advertising all accommodation in and around Collie at a later date. Our club has won the Motorcycling WA’s most improved club of the year for 2018, with 246 members, and 68 new members an achievement, along with next years Nationals, that we are very proud of.”
