Old Bike Australasia - - WARSAW TECHNICAL MUSEUM - Report and photos Rob Lewis

This year’s Lions Fundraising bike show on November 4th included modern machines adding to the classics on display, bringing total entries to almost 400. The BMW Owners Club showed 24 bikes and collected the handsome shield for the range, from very early to current examples. Show & Shine awards went to seven bikes – the last-minute prize going to a BMW K100 Café Racer that caught the nostalgic eye of show convener and judge Fred Keal who said he wished he’d kept his. Spectators were mostly arriving on bikes, with about 1,000 bikes and 2,000 onlookers to view the swap and sell tables and trade tents. This town sports oval had cricket and football club rooms open to supply a great range of food and drink. Four bands provided day-long music of the right kind to meet the mood. Owners of machines and trade or private sellers interested in supporting this worthwhile charity event should contact Fred on 0449 664370.

Onlookers soak up the sunshine on the oval.
