Old Bike Australasia - - ON THE SHED -

A four-man team, managed by Roger Winfield, will headline the new QBE TT Cup at the International Festival of Speed at Sydney Motor Sport Park from 14-17 March, 2019. TT legend John McGuinness, multi-TT winner Michael Rutter, ex-pat South Aussie Glen Richards and Northern Ireland’s Jeremy McWilliams make up the squad which will front for the QBE TT Cup, held over five legs from Friday to Sunday. They will ride Harris F1 chassis with Yamaha FJ1200 engines. Organiser Peter MacMillan says Sunday’s 5th and final leg will be the feature event of the weekend, held over ten laps. “Because we will not be running the legends demonstrations that have been part of the program in recent years, this frees up more time for extra races, so everyone will get plenty of track time. The bikes eligible for the QBE TT will be air-cooled four strokes or water-cooled two strokes up to December 1984. In addition to a full program of solo classes, sidecars will be out in force with Period 4, Period 5 and the later F1 and F2 categories.
