Sister scooter

I loved the Triumph Tigress story (OBA 77) and then I remembered taking a few shots of a BSA/Sunbeam version (complete with Globe sidecar) at the 2015 Twoies and Tiddlers Rally in Queensland. I’m thinking this would be a very rare beast in Australia. Owner Merv Kroll took pleasure in showing all the features and then rode it on the rally. I noticed it had an extra switch on the dash compared with the Triumph. It also carried much of the Waverley accessories. The matching sidecar was stunning especially with the soft top up. I guess if it was a 70mph motorcycle solo then it would still have a reasonable top speed with the sidecar. Lovely motorcycle and luck to have seen it. Gaven Dall’Osto Brisbane
