A Bonnie bonanza!

Star attraction at Shannon’s Sydney Auction on Monday 20th May is a mouth-watering assembly of Triumphs that include eight Bonnevilles, starting with the iconic 1959 model that began the breed. The other Bonnies are from 1961, 1963, 1964, 1968, two from 1969 and a 1970 model – the last before the oil-in-frame series was released. The ninth bike is a 1964 Trophy TR6 SC ‘Scrambler’ which was a favourite of the late Steve McQueen, among others. Shannon’s Stuart Roberts says, “All the Triumphs have been the subject of a ground-up no expense spared professional restoration.
