Head west for the championships!
With the September 27-30 dates for the Australian Historic Road Racing Championships at Collie, Western Australia looming, Historic Competition Motorcycle Club WA president Bob Humphries says plans are progressing well. “We are getting lots of interest from Eastern States clubs, and requests for assistance with transport over here. We have an incentive for clubs that send a container over with bikes for 10 entrants. They will get $1000 towards costs and we have contact with a transport firm that is giving a good deal on containers here and back. The newly-extended track is progressing well, giving a lap of 2.5 km with plenty of elevation changes and sweeping corners. The event will cater for all classes of Historic motorcycles and sidecars as defined by the 2019 Manual of Motorcycle Sport.”
In OBA 78, we incorrectly stated that entries were now open for the event, but that is not the case. The club expects the Supplementary Regulations to be finalised soon.
