Royal Enfield 650s are hot property

-

Since the release of the new Royal Enfield Interceptor and GT650, Australian distributors UMI have been flat out coping with demand. UMI Marketing Manager Mal Jarratt said, “The recently released Royal Enfield 650 Twins are setting sales records and gaining awards around the globe faster than they are able to supply bikes to those waiting to adopt their own twin! The uptake of the model has exceeded all expectations. We were quietly confident that the new 650 Twins were going to eclipse anything that we have seen with sales in the past, but even the most optimistic amongst us couldn't have predicted just how successful the models introduction would be. We'd like to take this opportunity to thank our loyal customers for their patience as the colour combinations are rolled out, and to be assured that more stock is arriving each week, with increased stock availability as the year unfolds."

To date, the majority of the deliveries have been the Interceptor in the luscious Candy Orange finish, plus the Continental GT650 in white, but UMI expects stocks of the Chrome tank versions soon. This is reminiscent of the original Interceptor with its distinctive chrome plated petrol tank. To read all about the recent Australian launch of the Royal Enfield 650s see OBA 78.
