LE memories galore

After reading the article on the Velocette LE (OBA 79) I thought I would send you details of my early Mk1 LE. This bike left the Veloce factory in April 1949 and was despatched to Cottam Motorcycles in Melbourne, Victoria. My grandfather, a motorcycle mechanic in Shepparton, Victoria owned the bike until the early 1970s. After many years of searching I managed to find the bike in Melbourne last year and have recently completed restoring it back to original condition.
