Author Al Hogan first met him in 2000 when he joined Newcastle Classic Motorcycle Club, of which Alan Craig was and still is president, and eventually asked him if he could write a biography. What followed was a series of interviews, which were transcribed into the text for this little book, along with photos from the Craig archives. It follows Alan’s life from the time of his birth in 1936, through early working life and the establishment of his motorcycle shops in and around Newcastle. As well as success in business, Alan has been responsible for assisting the careers of many famous riders, notably Herb Jefferson, Peter Carney and Chad Reed. As enthusiastic as ever, Alan is a familiar figure at rallies and vintage events, as well as supporting numerous local charities.
