Danny does Goodwood
Retired MotoGP star Danny Pedrosa will pull on leathers again for the Barry Sheene Memorial Trophy at the 2019 Goodwood Revival on September 13-15. With 31 victories in MotoGP’s premier class, as well as 125cc and 250cc championship wins, Pedrosa will forsake his usual Honda for a twin cylinder Paton, which he will share in the two-rider, two-leg event with Spanish Revival regular Joaquin Folch Jr. The diminutive Spaniard is not the only star name in this year’s line up. Current World Superbike rider Eugene Laverty, former MotoGP rider James Ellison, plus Isle of Man TT winners Mick Grant, Charlie Williams and Iain Diffus will be in the field. Current TT lap record holder Peter Hickman will be aboard a Manx Norton, 2019 Supersport TT winner Lee Johnston on an MV Agusta, while TT star Dean Harrsion will ride a Matchless G50. 23-times TT winner John McGuinness will pilot another Matchless G50, while Michael Dunlop has a Manx Norton.
