Queensland
Exhibition forges ahead
To be opened on 28th November 2020 and running for five months at Brisbane’s Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), ‘The Motorcycle: Design, Art, Desire’ will feature over 100 motorcycles representing 150 years of progress and innovation. Many of the featured bikes have particular significance to Australasia, such as the iconic Britten V1000, the Australia-only Velocette Sportsman, the 1951 Vincent Black Lightning that held the Australian Land Speed Record and is currently the holder of a world record price paid at auction for a motorcycle, and several homecreated specials, including off-road bikes. The exhibition is curated by US-based physicist Professor Charles Falco and writer and film maker Ultan Guilfoyle, in collaboration with GAGOMA. Tickets to the exhibition are now on sale at www.qagoma.qld.au/themotorcycle
