The Smiling Salesman

I was given a stack of copies of OBA to read and what a shock to see a shot of my old friend in “Gary’s Flashback” OBA 85 page 77. The photograph and the article on Bennett Honda show Chris Romanis, circa 1971 with the same smile in 2021. He said the shot was taken by Bill Forsyth who did lots of Honda shots. Chris was the first person to ride a CB750 which had just been registered with a special plate; NSW 1. It was owned by the company. He had an extensive knowledge of early Honda’s staff, names, places, branches and vehicles. What a great magazine you have. I’m hooked. Denis Hale
