Kustom Kawasaki

- Ryan L. Tigley Singapore

I was wondering if you would be interested to feature my bike and the story behind it. It is a Kawasaki KE 100 that we customised into a classic scrambler look. It is a tribute project for my father who passed away. I am from Cebu, Philippines and I am working in Singapore. I was the first born and he had me when he was already 42, so I was 18 when he was 60. We are very close that I bring him to gatherings with my university friends, motorcycle events and even go to bike rides together. Drinking together always and even with the distance, we drink together and bonded online.

Sadly he passed away last year and I could not travel home due to the pandemic. Less than a month before Father’s Day, I was able to complete his Kawasaki KE100 scrambler project.

Project was inspired by one of my father’s favourite movies that we watched together, The Great Escape, the crew painted his initials and death anniversary on the tank. It has been more than a year and still could not travel to visit and pay my final respect. It one way of coping up and I can still say that I will still be riding with my dad.
