Hair in the breeze
I thought I would send this photo of me taken in the ‘sixties. I am on my Norton Atlas thundering up Kentwell Road in Manly, NSW, having just rounded up a little Standard Mayflower car. The 1964 Atlas was bought brand new from Hazell & Moore in Sydney. It performed well in the six years I owned it – a couple of piston seizures the only trouble till I got the pistons knurled. Oh, and the sprocket came loose on the camshaft once between Finley and Deniliquin. I upgraded to an “S” Type Commando in 1970 which I still own.
