Another bumper Shannons auction
Shannons 2021 Winter Timed Online auction concluded on 15th June, with a 100% clearance rate in the motorcycle line up. Top sale was a 1938 Matchless Model X, the v-twin 1000cc solo fetching an impressive $70,000. Not far behind came a very tidy 1959 BMW R50 with an original Steib sidecar which sold for $53,500. Following recent trends, a pair of Kawasakis went well beyond their expected sale prices, with a fully restored 1976 Z 900 A 4 reaching $35,200 and a 1973 H2A 750 triple making $32,500. A 1961 Lambretta Li 125 scooter brought $17,500 and a 1951 Triumph Thunderbird sprung-hub 650 fetched $25,749. Shannons next Online auction runs from 31st August to 7th September, 2021. n
