Laverton memory

The Laverton TT was forty five years ago now. This photo was snapped on Saturday practice in the pits. It shows Kel Carruthers’ old 250-4 Honda (ridden in a demonstration by his father Jack), Laurie Barnett’s bikes (number 7), Warren Willing’s TZ750 (85) and Jeffrey Sayle’s TZ350 Yamaha (10).

That photo clearly shows how boiling hot it was on the weekend of 7/8 February 1976. Kel’s Honda 250-4 these days resides in the Barber Museum in Alabama, USA.
