The Australian Importer was M.Z.
Imports of Condamine St, Balgowlah, NSW. They had the bike tested in REVS on May 14, 1971 and advertised in REVS October 1971, as ‘The Fabulous 6
Day Trial Model’ available for $790. Then REVS ran a feature on all the MZ models in November 1971. Later in the Australian Popular Motorcy
cling Fortnightly in a feature of all manufacturers, July 1972, the ISDT MZ was announced as $890. The Press photo that appeared in USA Motorcyclist magazine’s 1972 ‘Motorcycle Buyers Guide’ was different to the ones I bought from Don Ince with a price tag of the ISDT model at $995. A nice mark up. The caption read: ‘SIX DAYS 250/ is the enduro rider’s desire. Wide-range 243cc powerplant, combination tank bag and map case, reliable lighting system, full dual ignition setup and 10 inches of ground clearance.’
