Corso Cowboys

- Michael Anderson Queensland

Two articles in OBA 97 brought back some memories, sadly of two persons who have passed. I bought a Dave Bickers replica Hawkstone from John Astley, my next door neighbour at the time. He told me this was an ex-John Burrows bike, bought back from UK. I later saw a photo in Motor Cyclist Illustrated of Burrows riding it with the number 84, the number it had when I bought it. On another subject, like Ken Goodman I also remember the days of the “Corso cowboys” and kegs at sites along Mona Vale Road.
