Another Ambassador

I enjoyed the article on the Ambassador 250 in OBA 98. I own one of the early, may I say humble, offerings of this marque. This is a Series 2 (below) with the rarish Villiers 197cc 5E engine. According to the U.K. register mine is the oldest survivor. I am sure there must be earlier ones out there and would be interesting to find out. My example is a 1948 model which was on the Australian market for 12 months before being replaced by the Series 3 with Villiers 6E engine. The similar (except for the frame) Series 1 was only exported to Sri Lanka and Argentina. Details on mine are Frame# 2038454 Engine#662515.
