1968 Honda CB350
In contrast to the sophisticated but complex DOHC CB450, the CB350 (and the near identical CB250) introduced in 1968 was simple and straightforward. It was also reliable, easy to maintain, and more appealing to the masses who were discovering motorcycling as a cool means of transport. In just five years, more than 300,000 of the new 350 twins were sold in USA, making it the top selling motorcycle of any capacity. With push-button starting and a five-speed gearbox, the 325cc CB350 produced considerably more power than the 305cc CB77 it replaced, and was much smoother thanks to meticulous engine balancing.
