Coast to Coast Cannonball
The Indian-Pacific Cannonball Classic 2022 is set to depart Busselton WA on 14th October arriving in Merimbula NSW on 27th October 2022.
Over 80 Riders on pre-1949 motorcycles will travel the 4,800km across Australia on this endurance run where the goal is to travel each day’s ride without any back up support. The backup support is available but comes with a points deduction if required.
One of the earliest motorcycles competing is a 1925 Invincible J.A.P. manufactured in Melbourne. Harley-Davidson and Indian motorcycles make up the bulk of the field with Harley bookended by 1924 J and 1948 FL panhead models. Indian is well represented with a tribe of Chiefs and Scouts. Other marques entered include Henderson, Vincent, Ariel, BSA and a 1929 Montgomery.
Funds raised from the Event will go to the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS) with CEO of the RFDS, Victoria, Scott Chapman, riding a 1942 HarleyDavidson 42WLA, to further assist raise funds. The Indian-Pacific Cannonball Classic will be a colourful sight with the group of riders, backup and organisers of over 150 traversing Australia.
