Calling all Kiwi Vintagents
The VCC of NZ Southland branch will be hosting the 28th National Motorcycle Rally over the Waitangi weekend (3-6 February, 2023) in Invercargill.
The organisers have decided to hold the rally between two major local events, the Southland Rally and the Burt Munro Challenge. The Southland Rally will be held on the Saturday, while the National Motorcycle Rally will start on Sunday and finish on Monday night. The Burt Munro Challenge starts on Wednesday and finishes the following Sunday. This will allow entrants to compete in two very different rallies in one weekend, to attend the Burt Munro Challenge and also giving them a chance to have a good break away in scenic Southland.
The National Motorcycle Rally caters for all classes of VCC eligible motorcycles and mopeds.
For competitive entrants it includes a combination of speed and field tests, culminating in a gala prize giving and dinner on Monday night. Three routes (short, medium and long) have been mapped out
around the spectacular coastline and stunning scenery of Southland. The aim is to provide challenging but doable routes; the short route has been set to accommodate the challenges of Veteran and low powered machines.

The Burt Munro Challenge will put accommodation at a premium, so we recommend booking early.
