Walking guide with outdoor adventure tour operator, Life’s An Adventure
This Tassie resident shares some of the most spectacular landscapes in Australia with visitors on guided hikes along the East Coast.
What do you love about hiking in the Bay of Fires area?
Its white sandy beaches and rich Aboriginal history – [it’s] a beautiful and remote part of Tasmania.
How easy is it to get to the Bay of Fires?
There is a misguided perception that the Bay of Fires is difficult to access because of its dirt roads. Visitors might go to The Gardens or Binalong Bay, but no further north. A lack of running water also makes it hard to walk independently without a support vehicle. But there are great beaches, headlands and lighthouses to explore for those who decide to make the effort, and the seafood is delicious.
