return to the playing field in 2018 after knee surgery mid-2017, and after a big preseason is looking fit and ready for the rigours of football once again.
The Bushrangers have enjoyed strong preseason form, defeating King Valley in their first practice match and then pushing a strong Bright team in a positive step for the side as they look to climb the ladder.
Beechworth finished ninth in the Tallangatta and District League last year with six wins.
With previous coaching experience with the Bushrangers from 2009- 2011 as well as a stint with round one opponents, Chiltern, Shaun Pritchard is keen for games to get underway.
“We have been working pretty hard on the track and there a lot of positive signs throughout the group,” Pritchard said.
“We don’t want to get too ahead of ourselves yet, but we have a definite aim for finals.”
The Bushrangers host Chiltern this Saturday with football action from 9.10am.
“We will go into this game confident, Chiltern are in a similar situation to us so it will be a level playing field,” Pritchard said.
