Ovens & Murray Advertiser - - NEWS -

TALENTED young musicians have recently benefitted from a workshop with Melbourne-based vocal performance mentor Vicki Roussel in Beechworth.

Roussel mentored nine emerging local artists over two days including talented Beechworth duo Asha Bright and Indi Walker-Stelling.

Each year Indigo Council offers its first and second place getters from the shire’s Battle of the Bands an opportunity to record some of their songs with experienced sound engineers.

Last weekend Asha and Indi, who go by the name The Inner Vision, had the chance to record some of their amazing original songs as part of our FReeZa emerging artist program.

If you’re a young singer songwriter or musician living in Indigo Shire you are invited to be part of the FReeZa program and any associated workshops and live performances.

All workshops are free and open to all levels of ability, from beginners to more established artists.

Contact Indigo Shire youth officer Sal Kimber on 0422373542 orber@in to get involved.
