Busy months paying dividends for golf club
IT has been a busy couple of months at the Beechworth Golf Club, with the Mens’ Club Championships being run and won and some noticeable changes starting to take place around the course.
The excitement continues in the next few weeks with the Club planning several activities for Golf Month 2018, and don’t forget the Ladies and Men’s Annual Tournament coming up in October.
October is Golf Month, and Beechworth Golf Club is one of the many facilities around the country that will be offering fun, welcoming and social environment to help attract new people to the game and generate interest in memberships.
The club will be holding a ‘Bring a friend day’ on first twilight competition of the season on October 11, players are encouraged to bring along a friend for the mixed nine hole format.
The club will focus on female participation on October 26 with a ‘Beginners, Balls and Bubbles’ social event with tips from the local professional as well as bubbles and nibbles.
A Halloween Hole-In-One competition will sign off the Golf Month on October 31.
The Men’s and Ladies’ annual tournaments will also run during this time and will receive great support and promotion.
