Busy months pay­ing div­i­dends for golf club

IT has been a busy cou­ple of months at the Beech­worth Golf Club, with the Mens’ Club Cham­pi­onships be­ing run and won and some no­tice­able changes start­ing to take place around the course.

The ex­cite­ment con­tin­ues in the next few weeks with the Club plan­ning sev­eral ac­tiv­i­ties for Golf Month 2018, and don’t for­get the Ladies and Men’s An­nual Tour­na­ment com­ing up in Oc­to­ber.

Oc­to­ber is Golf Month, and Beech­worth Golf Club is one of the many fa­cil­i­ties around the coun­try that will be of­fer­ing fun, wel­com­ing and so­cial en­vi­ron­ment to help at­tract new peo­ple to the game and gen­er­ate in­ter­est in mem­ber­ships.

The club will be hold­ing a ‘Bring a friend day’ on first twi­light com­pe­ti­tion of the sea­son on Oc­to­ber 11, play­ers are en­cour­aged to bring along a friend for the mixed nine hole for­mat.

The club will fo­cus on fe­male par­tic­i­pa­tion on Oc­to­ber 26 with a ‘Begin­ners, Balls and Bub­bles’ so­cial event with tips from the lo­cal pro­fes­sional as well as bub­bles and nib­bles.

A Hal­loween Hole-In-One com­pe­ti­tion will sign off the Golf Month on Oc­to­ber 31.

The Men’s and Ladies’ an­nual tour­na­ments will also run dur­ing this time and will re­ceive great sup­port and pro­mo­tion.

RUN­NERS-UP: Run­ners up in the Golf Vic­to­ria Jack Long me­mo­rial Tro­phy 2018. Four Ball, Best Ball at Mal­don Golf Club - David Atkins and Dy­lan Pool on 49 points.
