TWO local Men’s Sheds are among three in Indi to be awarded funds courtesy of the Federal Government.

Last Friday, Liberal Senator for Victoria, Jane Hume, congratulated the three sheds on their successful application for the grant.

“Like similar sheds across Australia, the Baranduda, Rutherglen and Wahgunyah sheds offer support to any local men who need a bit of space and some friendly, easygoing company,” Senator Hume said.

“Men are often the last ones to make their health and wellbeing a priority.

“Men’s sheds are integral to the community so it’s imperative that we do what we can to ensure they get the support they need and deserve.

“These Men’s Sheds will be able to use the received government grant on improvements like electrical fittings or extra doors and windows.”
