Ivy Phillips town’s newest retail space

Ovens & Murray Advertiser - - FIRE ACTION WEEK -

A NEW shop was opened in Ford Street in Beechworth last week.

Wooragee resident Emma Nankervis said she had always dreamt of having her own business with her idea focusing on embracing the local identity and bringing new exciting brands to Beechworth.

The welcoming retail space with beautiful products including clothes and wares is called Ivy Phillips.

“When the opportunity arose at 71 Ford Street I felt it was meant to be,” Ms Nankervis said.

“Having worked in the space when it was Hotch Potch over 18 years ago, and more recently as Classic Apparel, this shop comes with wonderful memories and experiences that will form the pillars for my new business.

“Ivy is the name I had in my pocket if I had another child and as that will not be happening I was excited to use it in my business name.

“Phillips is from the lane behind the shop and I have since learned one to which we are also related.”
