Colourful artworks are up for grabs to fundraise for wildlife

- By WENDY STEPHENS

GAVIN Doherty and artist Tina Fraser from the ‘Out of Town Nursery’ at Beechworth are hoping to raise funds by auctioning two of Tina's digital photographic artworks.

“The works are printed on canvas and ready to hang -' Teddy' 40cmx50cm and 'Sturt’s Desert Pea' 75cmx100cm," Mr Doherty said.

“We are raising funds as a response to the tragic effect of bushfires on wildlife.

“This is an unimaginable tragedy for people, wildlife and country.

“After much discussion with friends we have decided to donate to Wildlife Victoria or Kangaloola Wildlife Shelter Inc. at Yackandandah, depending on donor or buyer preference.

“We have already donated money to several different fire response organisations and urge everyone else to do the same.”

You can place your bids for either or both canvases by January 25 - phone 03 5726 1554, email outoftown6@bigpond.com or message Tina Fraser, Gavin Doherty or Out of Town Nursery on Facebook.

The ‘Out of Town Nursery’ is a cool sanctuary for all sorts of wildlife, wallabies, koalas and birds where they enjoy water and feed in the beautiful surrounding garden.
