Discover Indigo U3A in 2020
INDIGO U3A is getting ready for another exciting year for more than 100 enthusiastic members.
People that may be interested in joining Indigo U3A are encouraged to come along to the information day to find out about all the wide range of interests and activities that are on offer, and they can enrol on Tuesday, January 21, from 10am-1pm, at The Old Railway Station in Harper Avenue, Beechworth.
Frances Baker, secretary of the Indigo U3A, said the day is a great opportunity to find out about course offerings in the year ahead, to meet tutors and group leaders and to chat to them about courses.
“The morning will also be a good time to catch up with other members after the summer break, meet new members and take the opportunity to enrol,” she said.
Annual subscriptions are now due at $30 per annum.
Associate membership remains at $10 per person (an associate member must be a full member of another U3A).
The Summer School Program including the car rally and the performance and recital has been cancelled due to the bushfires, but the tree walk and talk at Mayday Hills, followed by morning tea and a tour of Mayday Hills Art Society, will be going ahead on Wednesday, January 22.
First semester programs include: Gerry Engwerda - International Relations; Michael O’Flaherty - Book Club; Anni Turnbull - Plant-based Health Film; Michael Evans - Conversations; Maureen O’Flaherty - Friday Poets; Jann Stewart - Gardeners Group; Frances Baker and Gail Warren-Smith - Film Group; Mike Bydder - Indigo U3A Gets Active; and Gerri Boland - Be Connected and 4th Thursday Walks.
The calendar on the website at www. indigou3a.net has been updated, and the course booklet is available for viewing and downloading and enrolments are open.
If you know someone who is interested in seeing what Indigo U3A has to offer bring them along.
As always Indigo U3A welcomes your suggestions for future topics, and your feedback.
